These terms apply when you download or use Two Steps, a mobile app that plans walking routes. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app does
Two Steps generates suggested walking loops based on a step goal you choose, your starting location, and a record of ground you have previously covered. Routes are computed suggestions, not verified paths.
Walking is at your own risk
Routes are generated automatically from map data. They may include streets or paths that are closed, unlit, unpaved, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable at the time you walk them. You are responsible for your own safety: stay aware of your surroundings, follow traffic laws and signage, and use your judgment about where and when to walk. If a suggested route looks wrong or unsafe, do not follow it.
Step counts, distances, and durations shown in the app are estimates. The app is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Consult a professional before starting an exercise routine if you have health concerns.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Two Steps on devices you own, for your own use. You may not copy, modify, sell, or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or interferes with the service that generates routes.
Third-party services
Maps and walking paths are provided through Google Maps Platform. By using the app you also agree to the Google Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Your download and use of the app is additionally subject to the terms of the store you installed it from (Apple's App Store or Google Play).
Your data
How the app handles your location, steps, and health data is described in the Privacy Policy. Your walks are stored on your device; we do not hold an account or a copy of your history, so we cannot recover walks you delete or data lost with a device.
Availability and changes
The app depends on a route-generation service that we may change, interrupt, or discontinue at any time. We may update the app and these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The current version of these terms is always available on this page.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of route or map data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including injury or loss suffered while walking a suggested route. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing affects statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may withdraw the app or its services if required, and these terms end when you stop using the app.
